Lord Patel has passed away.

Inna lillahi wa ina alahi rajioun

In English, it translates to “from Allah we come and to Allah we return” That is what Muslims say when hearing of the passing away of someone (usually someone we usually know).

Although I didn’t actually know Lord Patel, I don’t think replies to comments count, I sort of knew what he was about from his blog. which I read on occasion. Actually, for quite some time I thought Lord Patel was a rather large team of people such were the number of fingers so deep into all sords of geopolitical pies. My impressions of him was a man who hated political sleeze. Edward Teague, Lord Patel, man of decency, you will be sorely missed.

Moo Moo Moo, Moo, Moo, Mooooo, Moooooooooooooooo!

—Updated again!!!—

This post is based on the story: MP Blunkett injured in cow attack.
Mr Blunkett was injured by the cow while out “walking” on his 62nd birthday. Former Home Secretary David Blunkett, who stepped down after abusing his position, is recovering after being injured by a charging cow in Derbyshire.

The “incident” happened on Saturday while the Sheffield MP was out “walking” on his 62nd birthday with his guide dog Sadie in the Peak District.

It is “believed” the cow ran at the dog and while trying to protect her (guidemen are known for protectging their dogs), the blind MP fell and was trampled.

He suffered a broken rib and “painful bruising” but was declared well enough to attend a Labour Party meeting later.

For short periods of my life, I lived in a farmhand’s house. The quickest way to get to the house involved walking a field containing a few pregnant cows. Occasionally they would ”chase’ us if we got too close. I have quite a spectacular memory of one with its hind legs high in the air and udder swung to the side.

Something inside me however makes me think the caustic bully boy Blunkett’s cow “experience” wasn’t with an (as yet) impregnated cow.

Perhaps Blunkett was playing some birthday version of pin the tail on the donkey?
