Inna lillahi wa ina alahi rajioun
In English, it translates to “from Allah we come and to Allah we return” That is what Muslims say when hearing of the passing away of someone (usually someone we usually know).
Although I didn’t actually know Lord Patel, I don’t think replies to comments count, I sort of knew what he was about from his blog. http://postmanpatel.blogspot.com/ which I read on occasion. Actually, for quite some time I thought Lord Patel was a rather large team of people such were the number of fingers so deep into all sords of geopolitical pies. My impressions of him was a man who hated political sleeze. Edward Teague, Lord Patel, man of decency, you will be sorely missed.

5,147(!!) posts?? incredible. He’s still ‘wowing’ us – that’s the hallmark of a star.
We are fortunate enough to have seen a legend operate before our very eyes.
