A good friend told me today of news that the Zionist scum in Hebron shot and killed a Palestinian who had recently graduated from the International Islamic University of Malaysia ( IIUM )  (locally called UIA : Universiti Islam Antarabangsa).

They shot him in the chest and the legs. They kicked his body. and denied his family access to his body for days.

When celebrating Eid this year, please remember the blessed peaceful life you have been given. Then ask yourself whether you have some responsibility to do something so that others may also have a peaceful and happy Eid/Hari Raya next year.

The Murder of Obaidah AlQudsi.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
 
As we celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid, let us nnot forget the struggles of our Palestinian brothers and sisters. One such person that I have seen in Malaysia perfoming a nasheed by Friends of AlAqsa is brother Obaidah… please take time to read his tragic story…
 
Obaidah AlQudsi, a Palestinian   artist known among his friends for his beautiful voice and lovely character. A few days ago, Obaidah passed away in an Israeli hospital after being held as an injured prisoner. On 26th August, Obaidah was heading to the Abraham Mosque in the Old City of Hebron. While walking to the mosque, Israeli soldiers shot him 4 explosive bullets; two in the abdomen and two in his legs.
 
Obaidah, the peaceful soul was murdered in the street in cold blood. Ambulance vehicles were banned from attending to his bleeding body for 30 minutes. Seeing him bleeding didn’t satisfy their evil lust for blood, hence they beat up his body mercilessly. After awhile, he was arrested and sent to an Israeli hospital in occupied Jerusalem. Ever since Obaidah was under their custody, he was in coma. Obaidah spent about 3 weeks in the Israeli hospital; and his family was not allowed to visit him until the last day of his  life!
 
On the morning of 13th September, Obaidah’s soul departed to its Creator seeking His ultimate justice. Hasbunallahu wane’mal wakeel.
 
Obaidah will always be remembered among his family and friends forhis sweet voice and lovely smile. His poetry and nasheed will always be celebrated by Palestinians, Muslims and all free people of the world as true words of wisdom and honor.
 
Synopsis about the martyr : Obaidah Maher Abdul Mu’ti al Qudsi Dwaik  
 
Born in 1984 in Hebron city, Palestine to a respected family. His father is a well known uztaz and businessman.
 
Obaidah  joined  International Islamic University (IIUM) and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Journalism. At the University, Obaidah was active in cocurricular activities and always a forerunner in working for any Ummatic issues. Obaidah was elected iinto the main board of AlAqsa Friends Society in 2003, and from 2004-2007, he led the famous AlAqsa Nasheed groups in IIUM.
 
In 2008, he returned home in Palestine to live with his family and run his father’s business. He got engaged a few months later and arranged for his wedding to be held right after eid alfitri. Unfortunately, the criminal Zionist soldiers won’t let his family celebrate this eid happily, not let Obaidah’s fiancee have a future with him!
 
AlFatihah for our brother Obaidah. InshaAllah those who are slain unjustly be rewarded a place in Jannah……
