No, being anti-immigration does not make you racist.

A friend strongly opposed to immigration but explained his position and it seemed racism free to me.

He said it simply wasn’t fair. When he was young, nobody ever advised/told him that the future economy would involve large numbers of people from other countries freely being allowed to work and live in the UK, and with English being the lingua franca, these migrants from a young age very early on were exposed to English and and learned it well enough for it to be a non-problem with work and life in the UK. Neither did anyone tell him that he should learn a few foreign languages, so that later on in life he too could migrate to an EU country and work without any language barrier. Now it’s too late. He feels that he is too old to acquire the ability to learn and he feels he wouldn’t like to learn. Even if he did manage to learn one, because he’d be moving to a smaller jobs-market country, it would naturally be a lot harder to get a decent job there anyway, and at the same time the jobs market in the UK is also more difficult because of the number of people chasing those jobs. He’s also not happy that he was never given any say in the matter  of the free movement of people He said what was signed up for in the 70’s bears little was resemblance to today. The “lower economy” countries (from which most immigrants come, e.g. Poland) were never part of the “Common Market” then; It was the ‘high economy’ counties that the EEC.

Why would he be forced to live in a different culture with different unpleasant weather when he’s happy with established/traditional)English culture (and it’s weather)? Why should he placed in a position whereby any children he had might not get as good an education overseas. Same for health care provision and so on. If indeed he had to work overseas, why must he have to choose from ‘lessrrer universities’ or health service, sports facilities, watching cricket or the league team of his choice. Why should he simply lay down and accept all the imposiitions the EU is forcing upon him. Why can’t he be allowed to just be the way he was.

I found his points very worthy of sympathy and I could understand very well why he wanted greater immigration control and it didn’t seem racist at all, but that’s the way pro-Brexiters were usually portrayed – as racist insular biggots who simply didn’t like foreigners in the UK. I must admit, those thoughts crossed my mind too once in a while.

A family member voted for Brexit too, saying they disagreed with the EU greavy train.

So, although Brexit is over a year old already, don’t see all Brexiteers as racist bigots.

Back again July 2017

Hi. After a LONG break I think I’ll start writing here again.

This time, on homosexuality.

With prophylaxis in mind, I decided to see how formerly Christian countries, e.g. UK, are handling the LGBT “gay” issue, because make no mistake, it’s coming to societies that live under Islamic principles too.

So I was thrilled to bits at coming across this speaker Lynette Burrows speaking at the Gay Rights Debate at the Oxford Union. Do please watch the whole debate  from the beginning  (see link to whole playlist at the end)  to better appreciate this post.

Lynette’s refusal to be a sheep on the matter and her awesome calling out of the many of the sheep in the audience thrilled me to bits. I totally admire such people, for the same reason I utterly admire the Adamic prophets.

She said “I despite the fact that you all punch the air [in support of] something that 20-30 years ago you’d have punched the air in the opposite direction. All sodomites are wicked, damn them, imprison them”. Those condemnations were of course Lynette saying would have been the accompanying air-punching chant those decades ago]

The sheep seemingly decided to deliberately recast this being what THEY would have been saying in the past, to being a stand alone statement of Lynette said.

She had said in prior to that:
“Come on, come on, come on… group think!
I even despise you all for being in the same cart.”

“You’re just group thinkers, all of you” she said a bit later on, which was amply proved near the end when she (to paraphrase) appealed to the audience to think of your role of your mother in your life, even is she was a slut. The room erupted with laughter, due to the the ‘group-think’ that had already set in early on in Lynette’s turn. You see, Lynette was “outrageous” (read unafraid of ‘fitting in’ ergo independently minded) so no need to take what she say with any seriousness at all. She persisted and the of course did make a great point, the importance of your mother even is she did really bad things. I doubt any of the group-think people laughing would have the sense to reflect on this and see their own bad behaviour..

Lynette’s small part in the debate was a powerful demonstration of the ridiculous sheep like mentality amongst others, and also some of the pathetic attempts to give so called “science” (faux science, “social science”) to be an authoritative voice on the matter.

Unfortunately, in the Islamic context, those who supposedly speak out for Islam, are suffering from ever growing cowardice as they astoundingly actually embrace creeping anti-religious, oxymoronic liberalism, a soulless hegemony, which were are endlessly advertised into thinking it’s so cool. There are already “Imams” who conduct homosexual “marriages”.

In the main, it’s a religious affair. You either obey the prescriptions of your Lord or you don’t. Rationality and scientism has very little to do with it, although it’s entirely possible those two things could be uncovered. Because LGBT is predominantly a religious issue, then if you are NOT religious then of course LGBT won’t appear so bad, and I guess (although I don’t personally like this) if you also like in a non-religious society and choose a religions free life then you can do whatever the hell you like being mindful of the prohibitions that your religion-free society does have.
