Smearing Wikileaks And Julian Assange

I [afghancentral.blogspot.com] was going to post on the inevitable smears on Assange. Fortunately Chris Floyd at Empire Burlesque has done it quicker and better:

 We have the President of the United States — who has already openly proclaimed his “right” to assassinate anyone on earth, including American citizens, without the slightest due process of law, simply at his arbitrary command — now feverishly expanding the use of death squads, whose stealthy night raids on sleeping villages have already killed a vast number of innocent civilians in Afghanistan (as the Wikileaks documents show). This same administration is now running “black ops,” secret armies, proxy wars and other covert activities in more than 75 countries around the world. That is to say, the Obama Administration is now murdering people in their beds, fomenting bloody ethnic conflict, supporting and/or carrying out acts of terrorism, spreading corruption, assisting dictators, arming warlords, spreading hate and suffering all over the world — and doing it knowingly, proudly. (“Evil in broad daylight” indeed, as Arthur Silber details here.)  

And these are the moral paragons who have now turned their machinery of lies and smears against Wikileaks. For make no mistake; although the rape charges were manufactured in Sweden — which, incidentally, is where some of Wikileaks’ servers are located — they emanate from the proud deathlords in Washington. Indeed, didn’t we hear just a few weeks ago that the Peace Laureate’s people had launched a campaign of pressuring foreign governments to put fetters on Assange and his organization? Now Sweden’s center-right government — no, Rush, Sweden is no longer the super-socialist fairyland of your nightmares — has obviously hearkened to the master’s voice.

But although this first foray has been rebuffed, it is certain that what we are seeing is the beginning of a concerted effort to destroy Assange as a public figure and thereby discredit the work of Wikileaks — and by extension, the truth of its revelations.

 

   

And smearing, of course, is just the first step. If that doesn’t work … well, the avowed and openly proclaimed proponents of assassination certainly have other, more “prejudicial” methods at their disposal, nicht war?

I caught this on ICH & thought it necessary to publicise.

Obama made a joke:

“May 1 White House Correspondents Dinner. “Jonas Brothers are here, they’re out there somewhere,” President Obama quipped as he looked out at the packed room. Then he furrowed his brow, pretending to send a stern message to the pop band. “Sasha and Malia are huge fans, but boys, don’t get any ideas. Two words for you: predator drones. You’ll never see it coming.”

Jonas Brothers is a ‘boy’ band. Sasha and Malia are Obombers two kids (both girls, if your unfamiliar with the names). In other words, (B)iraq Obama threatened (in ‘jest’) to launch predator drones at these pop stars. Obomber is drawing upon their drones lethal/deadly reputaion. They are deadly because the routinely fire missiles on groups civillians. The death tolls are huge! Obama is using this as a joke.

Government Concedes Vaccine-Autism Case in Federal Court – Now What?  David Kirby – Feb 2008

After years of insisting there is no evidence to link vaccines with the onset of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), the US government has quietly conceded a vaccine-autism case in the Court of Federal Claims.

The unprecedented concession was filed on November 9, and sealed to protect the plaintiff’s identify. It was obtained through individuals unrelated to the case.

The claim, one of 4,900 autism cases currently pending in Federal “Vaccine Court,” was conceded by US Assistant Attorney General Peter Keisler and other Justice Department officials, on behalf of the Department of Health and Human Services, the “defendant” in all Vaccine Court cases.

The child’s claim against the government — that mercury-containing vaccines were the cause of her autism — was supposed to be one of three “test cases” for the thimerosal-autism theory currently under consideration by a three-member panel of Special Masters, the presiding justices in Federal Claims Court.

Barack Obama continues to prove how stupid many people are, in that they still believe all the crap he says.

Obomber’s has a great couple of weeks, moving up a few notches in the ‘Worlds most filthy killers’ league, having been responisble for ripping apart the flesh of even more Afghani and Pakistani people and to polish things off, Obama bites from the same 9-11 trough that George Jackass BuSh snouted from so often, trying to to score a bonus by adding yet more lies to his dirty record.

 

 Speaking yesterday, he vowed, Re: 9-11 to:

“apprehend all those who perpetrated these heinous crimes, seek justice for those who were killed, and defend against all threats to our national security” said the great deciever, Barack Hussain Obama, who by the way still hasn’t produced his original birth cert, not that it really matters IMHO as to where he was born but it does to many USans.

He has absolutely NO intention of doing any of that.

When is the Commander in Chief culpable for the crimes of his soldiers?

There is just no way you can begin to comtemplate this horror below. Even the much hailed movie ‘Redacted’ is vacuumous compared to this…

Steven Green, 24, is to serve five consecutive life sentences for raping a 14-year-old Iraqi girl and killing her and her family near Baghdad in 2006.

The jury in Kentucky could not agree unanimously on his punishment and he was spared the death penalty.

Four other soldiers are serving time for their roles in the crime.

Their sentences range between five and 110 years.

Green was considered the ringleader.

Judge Thomas Russell confirmed Green would serve five consecutive life sentences with no chance of parole.

Three of the soldiers had admitted holding down Abeer Qassim al-Janabi, raping her and then killing her, her parents and her younger sister at the family’s home in Mahmudiya before torching the building.

Green was discharged from the 101st Airborne Division before the case came to light.

He was the first ex-soldier to be charged under a US law that allows prosecution for crimes committed overseas. – source

I want George Jackass BuSh to be held responsible for this and all the other 1.2 million Iraq lives he snuffed out. But of course the ‘Commander in Chief’ – a title Jackass BuSh used to call himself, spinning the illusion he was some hind of hero cowboy, will never face charges in this perverse world we to our shame have allowed to materialise, which actually makes us partially responsible too.

BuSh will escape justice in this world and perhaps it’s wrong of me, but I hope the bastard will never find God and never repent for his most evil of crimes. BuSh is 63, which perhaps gives him only about 20 years tops before he dies. 20 years before his fast-track to stand in front of the Creator of the Universe and have his crimes laid bare in front of him. BuSh will NOT be able to bluff God and argue his way out of it. BuSh’s 1.2 million Iraq victims, hundreds of thousands of Afghani’s, Somalis and all the other people on the planet who Bush harmed and oppressed will have their justice.

As for Steven Green, I hope he with Bush will burn ceaselessly in hell.

The human ability of love – why is it so neglected?

The family and its associated bonds are an amazing facet of human life. Commentating from a personal point of view, I believe it’s something that doesn’t always break through to us as humans – often to great cost.

A couple of years back, I saw a photo of a US soldier and his kids. The soldier was later killed in Iraq. I couldn’t help but cry when I saw that picture as I contemplated the vacuum in the kids life and the savagery and senselessness of war and the universal soldiers that make it a reality. Perhaps I was being too ‘worldly’ and neglecting aspects of the afterlife, but honestly speaking, that’s how I felt at the time.

People who peruse this blog and who hold interests similar to what I discuss. will no doubt have heard of Cindy Sheehan (and Rose Gentle etc). Cindy’s son Casey, was also killed in Iraq. When Cindy was coming to prominence, I was quite angry with her as, to my knowledge, she never apologized for Casey taking part in a machine that killed over half a million Iraqi people. She portraying him as a good person, when actually a “good” person would have refused to participate in this war which was clearly based on obvious lies and fantasies. But while being critical of Cindy, I knew her feelings of love and parentship meant that virtually no matter what Casey did, he’d always be a good person in Cindy’s eyes – such is the nature of families.

Today I saw a picture of Obama’s kids and it is a beautiful pic.

It captures a certain innocence and purity, and as soon as I saw it, it immediately stopped me in my tracks, making me once again contemplate the love that exists inside the family unit. I began to feel a sense of guilt for some of the things I‘ve said about Barack (which aren’t that strong actually) and made me think that perhaps I shouldn’t say anything hostile against him, lest his children somehow come across it and are deeply hurt from the ‘attack’ on their father.

Oddly enough, I don’t feel this when I see pics of Blair or Bush’s kids or when I see some pics of other kids from families I know absolutely nothing about. Why do I feel this way after seeing the Obama kids photo? Why did I feel it about the first Iraq based solder? Am I feeling this for Obama’s kids because of their innocence or due to the photo itself? Was it just that at one particular moment I was more prone to emotion than at other times? Is it connected to the fleeting fleeing I got when I found out Obama won the election? Is it something to do with him being black? – but the Iraq soldier I mentioned at the top of this post was white, so is the race element a non-issue?

Obama voted to fund the Iraq war which makes him guilty of murder too, yet the feeling of hostility towards Obama is very much lower that what I have for Bush, and I would feel uneasy at his kids reading such an indictment. I wonder if when Obama does officially take over in January, and ups the military operations in Afghanistan, will that feeling of not caution on behalf of his kids persist?

If I feel this now about Obama, could Obama feel the same way about kids in Afghanistan or Iraq? What of Bush, if say, he saw pic of poor Iraqi kids and felt such remorse, or even better, prevented him from initiating aggression in the first place?
Wouldn’t that be and have been great?  I wonder if it’s possible for such a thing could ever happen in this modern world? – that a photo could mean the difference between war and peace. I also wonder if power holders and those around them, actively seek to avoid such potential incidents of humanistic compassion, hesitation, prevention and cancellation to prevent derailment of a vicious and nefarious agenda.

I hope Obama puts many photos of his family in the Oval office, viewing them regularly and imagining the consequence his decisions will have on kids all over the world.

That’s the hope anyway.
