Barak Obama (pic below) says…
“You can put lipstick on a pig. It’s still a pig. You can wrap up an old fish in a piece of paper and call it change. It’s still going to stink after eight years.” – Obama
“The Kenyan kid”, Iraqi Bomber Barak Obama’s acceptance speech, fell on the 45th anniversary (Aug 28th 1963) of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I have a dream speech”
There the commomality ends.
The more I hear of MLK’s words, the more amazed I am at the degree of his intellectualism. Really, the words he says, the emotions he tugs and the hope he gives, are awe inspiring. Why oh why do we not have his words broadcasted at least once a week or even month? He can still teach us today. That I am sure of.
But Obama, isn’t individually outstanding in tems of intellectual prowess. That may not particulatly matter, as good leadership isn’t only about intelligence, but rather wisdom and an overriding sence of fair play. He might be a good ‘team’ player but I think his main problem is that he has a crooked moral compass – he supports those perpetuating the relentless massacre of Palestinians. Really, he’s an internally bleached “neodem”, who says he wants to kill US dependence on ME oil, but will put more troops into Afganistan. The reason why the West is in there, perhaps seems to have escaped him – to secure US military presence on the periphery of Central Asia and to to secure oil transit routes.
The idiot also goes on about OBL and how he’s gonna hunt him down. Gee wizz. Move over MLK, the time of the intelligent man is over. Make way for the (latest) rootin tootin shootin Sherruf of Amerikke.
But I too have a dream. A conscious one, and it is this: The second Obama is sworn in, he takes a microphone and a deep lungfull of air and shouts like he’s never shouted before… “CEEEEEEASE FIRRRRE” The world is silent, wondering if they heard that 5 second command correctly. Someone lifts his arms up over his head, poking out from the crowd and starts clapping. He is soon but slowly joined by more. People begin to weep. Broadcasters the world over jump out of their chair, punch the air and say YESSS!. Obama continues “Get back to your bases. That’s an order. You’re coming home”
The world has never seen anything like it.
People across the planet begin to smile in realisation that America has started the first day of a golden era. At least four good years that lie ahead, despite the unravelling of the financial scams.
Sadly at this point the dream begins to break down and is tainted by reality.
Obama staggers, and falls back into the crawd behind him, blood spilling out from a small wound on his forehead. The dream abruptly ends and the nightmate continues.
Obama was against other people declaring war against the Iraqi people, however like all forked tongued USan politicians, he will not end the war. Not only that, but according to Democracy Now, he would not “rule out” using private military companies like Blackwater Worldwide in Iraq. He has also said that if need be, he would bomb [parts of] Pakistan, and to cap it off he said “I’m a stalwart friend of Israel, its security is sacrosanct” [haaretz].
No ‘change’ there then.
So where exactly does this Obamas ‘Change’ lobbox actually mean?
Here’s my guess: Instead of a white dumb jackass of a man lying to you,
a suave half-black man will do it instead.
We have experienced great political frauds in the UK ourselves. After the appalling Tory years, we were on our political knees saying ANYTHING is better than this. How bloody wrong we were. Although many suspected evil mass murderer to be, Mr. Tony bLiar, would junk socialist principles given half the chance, the public voted for him. Boy what a mistake that was. The Brits are still smarting from Bliars meglomaniac mega-con. The USans have yet to fall for it.
NO MATTER WHO THEY VOTE FOR, (McCain’s already lost IMO, and no independent candidate will win either) the USans are heading for a major disappointment.
This era of contemporary politics is long past its ‘use before’ date. In fact is is decaying with a very nasty smell of self enrichment and plutocracy. It is up to the citizens to case off this diseased form of governance and put in its place an altruistic form of government.
