Three questions for warmists

1) Water vapor in the atmosphere is said to account for what RANGE of global waming ?

2) What is the latest calculation for the increase in global warming due to man made CO2?

3) If your a warmist, don’t you feel an complete idiot after reflecting upon the (correct) answers to the above two questions?

Authority and rules

Who has authority to tell us what to do?

Who can arrest us, try us and then punish us? Who can order us to pay tax, stop us watching or reading something?

Why are they able to do so?

The third point, “why”, is easily answered, because in any society there MUST be rules. A society without rules leads to abuse or infringement of one individual(s) upon another.

But so too do these abuses and infringements happen in a society with rules, as point two suggests. If when living in the UK I refuse to pay tax to the government to that my money wont contribute to the disgusting things it does with such passion – like killing over a million Iraqi’s or far more significantly using this fraudulent economic system as a means imposing global misery on about 1.4 billion people i.e. people earning $1 a day or less – a statistic which in August 2008, the World Bank announced with an underlying meaning that escapes words, the figure should be changed to $1.25 a day[1].

It could easily be argued that actually the more rules a society has, the more abuses and infringements occur because there are other factors to consider which haven’t yet been mentioned. Spin offs of this can also be seen in the field of “identity documentation” and records. Stories of identity theft have made it into the news provoking the knee-jerk reflexive action from “tough” politicians saying they will do more to protect people from identity theft…. by introducing more forms of personal identity of course!

“Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men.” – Historian, Baron John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton in 1887.

the Baron was right. The megalomania complex within man (or whispered into his ears) has produced filthy killers like Firaoun, King Herod, Richard The “Lionheart”, The Young Turks, Stalin, Begin, Pol Pot, Idi Admin, Joseph Kony, Tony bLiar and Bush II. All of these men acted in societies with rules, their rules – rules which in some cases may have been lacking in quantity but more than made up for in enactment.

So we need rules but rules can cause problems – even greater problems then they are supposed to solve. There seems no escape, but it is essential to pointed out that it’s the abuse of the ‘rules of society’ and most importantly the inflation in the quantity of rules (or inflexibility of those rules) and the plutocratic acquisition/application of those rules which all must be avoided. This side and the other extreme i.e. the society with no rules are to be avoided. Here the middle path carpeted with dew glistening lotus flowers in contrast to the burning coals of the extremes.

This means there are times where rules and their authoritarian use must can rejected, as for example with paying tax to a deplorable government.

It also means that one should not cave in to security guards abusing their power…

Absolutely crushed, like a gnat under an atmosphere of pure man made CO2

I have been absolutely crushed over on Craig Murray’s site in a discussion about Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW).

Yes, that’s right, I’ve been pounded so hard with the most astute intellectualism, that I have been forced to whimper out of the discussion there. I simply became too embarrassed when I put forward what I believed was legitimate questions for examination.

Yip. On this topic, beware the hoard of ultra sharp swordsmen for they will surely cut you to ribbons.

It is very much to the credit that none of the Zorro’s engaged in ad hominen attacks, taunts or smear attempts e.g. by accusing people of a counter opinion of working for the oil industry and therefore making anything they said factually wrong.

These modern day cyber Shusaku Chiba’s, laid the facts out bare as noble professionals do and examined systematically each one in great detail. Specific references of information were displayed for all to see – should one wish to cross-check the citations .

Every point the pro-AGW’ers put across, had their reciprocal kindly embraced then examined with careful egalitarianism.

It was established with crystal clarity that

1) it is imperative to spend billions in reducing the production of CO2.

2) There exists a fair scheme for doing step 1 above, it’s so simple that there’s not even any point in mentioning it!

3) The most bewildering source of uncomprehensible power within at least 4 light years of us,  i.e. the Sun, – an aspect of the debate which took centre stage in the discussion making it difficult to get a word in edgeways, was in the end found to be highlt irrelevant to climate change, sorry global warming.

4) The vast oceans covering about 2/3 of the planet and also hogged the discussion was like the Sun found to have no ability to temper any man made CO2.

4) The huge Boreal forests and remainder of the rainforests were found to have no impact either.

5) The initially touted pro-AGW scientific consensus’ quickly became non-issue too, but there was still a quantifies consensus more than offsetting the signatories to the Oregon petition.

6) The intellectual giants on Craig’s site, the majority of which were probably not scientists, nevertheless carried authoritativeness for the pro-AGW camp, but actual scientists who did sign the Oregon petition, weren’t competent enough or relatively too feeble minded to discuss the issues and have their opinions carry any weight.

7) ‘Hide the decline’ was taken out of context and actually means there was no decline, and there was no hiding of it either.

8) Computer code that is said to generate ‘hockey sticks’ when random data is fed into it, or returns ‘oops’ messages when the result isn’t to someone’s liking does not matter because hockey sticks are useful things and the game of hockey would become extinct with out them.

9) It’s anthropogenic CO2 that is the bane of Bangladeshi floods.

10) That energy reduction won’t decline, rather CO2 producing energy liberation will make way for this…

doesn’t merit discussion.

Guess I’ll have to re-evaluate this too:

BBC watch Dec 09

You became familiar with a surprizing name
You heard many a meaningless slogan
You saw a flawlessly polished and glinting smile
– or was it just glare from the teleprompter?

This is what you had waited for
Like last time, the time before and the time before that too
You had wondered down a path never trod
Frequent signs from your television reassured you,
Numbed any pain
But this, this was the path of the yellow brick road.
Like a 911 jumper, we faithed somebody somewhere assembled something, making worthy our trusting leap.

And like the 911 jumper, you accelerate – much more than you imagined

Don’t worry, It will come
The affordable operation, wholesome food, respect when travelling abroad
Reasonably priced college places, the chance to own your own home
A telling off not a Tazering, from those who serve and protect
Unsnooped calls plus e-mails and no gangs offering medication you really don’t want.

There WILL be a trampoline, perhaps stacked cardboard boxes
A bed of sytrofoam or may even be a hurredly inflated pool – it was on the telly, or at least catching arms below
You are tumbled and tossed in the high-up wind, which fades while approaching the ground
Sight of what’s on the ground cannot be fixed. It’s bearingless and too confusing for comprehension.
Whether you understand what finally happens simply isn’t known.

Obama is ratcheting up the war in Afghanistan. I am utterly convinced it will embrace Pakistan. And here’s what the first mention of Obama on the BBC internatonal news cover page.

Such prominence.

and here’s what you get when you click the indept analysis of the latest globally significant move…

So glad the BBC is living up to it’s charter to keep you informated about important global events, which you fund, oh, I forgot to mention,  now those massively over sized adverts pay for too, while your licence fee goes up and up and up.

Interstingly there are some global warming stories in the front page too! Here’s snapshot…

Spot it? a person in the UN (no climate qualification mentioned at this stage) suggests AGW is wrong.

But having the last word with a much larger title and bolder heading states definitively that man HAS changed the climate.

Ho ho as Wogan would put it! BBC Gold!

And once again, nothing about chemical pollution: fertilizers, pesticides, GM contamination, PCB’s dioxins, CO, SO2, pharmaceutical waste, solvent and oil leakage, nuclear chemical waste and nuclear radioactive pollution.

Well done BBC. Another exemplory dispalay of the greatness.

Monbiot and Monbiot’s willy.

George Monbiot is showing his willy. It isn’t the first time and doubtless, it wont be the last. Trouble is, he’s not being Abu Graibed into doing it. It’s entirely voluntary. It’s a flacid willy, so there ins’t any “Ron Davis on the common” head-of-sexual-steam excuse for it either. And I’m not going to do metaphore by doing the ‘size’ thing, although if I did, it would be Karma considering his ‘deck of cards’ top 10 climate change deniers post.

Seasoned people who pride themselves in examining political coincidences of great consequence, i.e. conspiracy examiners, will be familiar with the shameless attempted to flick yellow stars upon people by using the word denier, but then again, that Monbiot does it shouldn’t come as a surprise. He is after all a mainstream journo.

Remember, by Monbiot’s own admission, the only thing that would get him to disbelieve in AGW is something utterly preposterous, penned by the Knights Carbonic no less. {tip: think deeply and read my previous article before you jumping for your keyboard to tell me he was being satirical}

Lets ‘look’ at George’s willy display.

 First off, the title:

Pretending the climate email leak isn’t a crisis won’t make it go away.

At this point George’s Willy of Media Deception is rightfully encased in his shorts, but within the blink of an eye, he’s starkers! :

Climate sceptics have lied, obscured and cheated for years. That’s why we climate rationalists must uphold the highest standards of science.

I’m too busy laughing to comment on that gem.

He continues….

It is true that climate change deniers have made wild claims which the material can’t possibly support (the end of global warming, the death of climate science).

Who claims the climate is NOT changing? Isn’t the debate about what is causing the climate to change? Sneaky opening George, but I’ve seen straight through it.

Then Georgieboy says ALL of these Nazis deniers (of the phantasmal kind), say it’s the end of global warming, and the death of climate science.

Oh George, not only are you showing your todger, but you forgot to wash it too! What I’m looking at is making me queasy. Nobody is saying it’s the end of climate science. How could the study of the climate ever ‘end’? unless…. and this is quite possible – that climate science is in GM’s eyes only for the purpose of ramming home AGW. Hummm. As for the end of global warming, errmm George, I hate to say this (ok, actually I don’t) but isn’t the crux of the e-mails that the DATA showed a decline in temperature? In which case the DATA itself shows global warming has come to an end, and it was this DATA that they tried to spin/hide/’dissappear’

George says:

emails are very damaging….a real crisis

Yet he dares not open the Pandora’s box by discussing in any reasonable and warranted degree in a scientific context as to HOW they are damaging in terms of science. This is common. If your on dodgy ground, here’s what you do: Distract, distract, distract.

apologising where appropriate and demonstrating that it cannot happen again.

Well George, didn’t you previously ridicule people who said there was DATA showing the mainstream media depiction of climate change was wrong, and indeed you are still ridiculing those who discuss the implications of climategate who differ from your naive spin on it.

It is true that much of what has been revealed could be explained as the usual cut and thrust of the peer review process, exacerbated by the extraordinary pressure the scientists were facing from a denial industry determined to crush them.

This is a near exact re-casting of what would be said by apologists for the Abu Graib guards, the Mai Lai butchers, and much more besides, It’s not the fault of these scientists caught red handed, no! The wrong doing lies and dirty tricks lie squarely at the door of the AGW sceptics. Just like it was the Vietnamese children who are to blame for theie bodies getting in the way of US Napalm.

George has some fine company that he’s crawling in the gutter with.

But surely George is being polemic for it’s own sake, sniggering in the toilets at the response his writings will cause. Unless of course he really thinks the power of sceptics is so immense {Errrm, that would be the sceptics GM always portrayed as an insignificant irrelevant non-representative group  –  with accusations of shades of nazi’sm hurled for good measure} that it can force people to do such underhand acts. Wow!

GM references Phil Jones as writing:

“I can’t see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report. Kevin and I will keep them out somehow – even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is!”

to which GM comes to Jones’ defence claiming

One of these papers which was published in the journal Climate Research turned out to be so badly flawed that the scandal resulted in the resignation of the editor-in-chief.

Now that may be true, I don’t actually know, but I’m more than inclined to believe Monbiot has NEVER accepted ANY report questioning doubt on AGW no matter how truthful that DATA was. George is more than welcome to show otherwise.

Jones knew that any incorrect papers by sceptical scientists would be picked up and amplified by climate change deniers funded by the fossil fuel industry

And /how/ Monbiot ‘knows’ this is …. ???. Here again GM does the dirty painting ALL AGW sceptics as being funded by the oil industry.

From the AGW sceptics I’ve met and read about, I’ve not heard any of them say things favourable to big oil. Is George picking up on the negative perceptions people hold of big oil and using it as a stiletto against the AGW sceptics? Thing is George, the AGW sceptics are unhappy that their scepticism seems favourable to big oil, but they don’t junk that scepticism for political reasons and lie to themselves.

At this point, George is now beginning to stroke his willy having the audacity to say:

[sceptics]  all sorts of dirty tricks to advance their cause.

Monbiot is as rich as as a Plutonium laced Christmas pudding.

those who campaign against taking action on climate change

Once again George’s deliberately mischaracterises the AGW sceptics as ‘denying’ (as he puts it) GW, so that they can maintain their lifestyle. Again deplorable behaviour. I’m an AGW sceptic – like most others, not funded by the oil industry – but I advocate a very big change to the way we live and the distribution of resources. Monbiot with his high energy use lifestyle knows this but doesn’t care.

those who campaign against taking action on climate change: that the IPCC process is biased.

Isn’t it biased. Heard of the Seattle petition??? What of the people who Protested in Bali last year (or was it 2 years ago?) What of those past IPCC members who didn’t agree with some of pro-AGW direction in the IPCC report? What data has ever appeared in the IPCC reports that seems to offer an alternatice message to the pro-AGW narrative? What sceptical AGW scientist has been allowed to write in the IPCC report?

However good the detailed explanations may be, most people aren’t going to follow or understand them. Jones’s statement, on the other hand, is stark and easy to grasp.

Pathetic. GM has just tried pulled off a trick in front of your eyes. Here’s what he wants you to think… Jones -> pro-AGW -> message easy to grasp, then “on the other hand” – i.e. on the oppositie pole, AGW sceptics cannot present technical information to the public in a easy to grasp fashion. He’s (wittingly or not) saying the easier message goes down the best.

I’m wavering between thoughts on Monbiot as being a village idiot or some devious sod who knows exactly what he’s doing or even someone who is just sub-consciously talented in selling fools gold.

Monbiot then tries to use the few filthy politicians squatting in Westminster as cover or as deliberate distraction. It’s too ugly to enter that arena. He later says:

If you take the wording literally, in one case he appears to be suggesting that emails subject to a request be deleted,

Why shouldn’t it be taken as such? Was the recipient of the e-mail expected to shower the e-mail in virtual lemon juice and wave a virtual candle beside it.???

But I know that opaqueness and secrecy are the enemies of science.

Monbiot of course wrote this long ago in the National newspaper while the CRU refused to publish data while the whose pro-AGW was running smoothly on the tracks. Oh no, that’s right, he didn’t! Strange that.

Actually I can no longer stand and ‘look’ at GM’s prolonged willy exposure.

 Fin.

Last words on this. Compare and contrast these two other reports. Which one, if any, actually focuses on the area of concern and which one, if any, distracts x3?

Al Jazeera (English) – some more highs and lows

I like Al Jazeera (English), AJE, a lot. Although generally I don’t watch much TV, AJE rings my bell and gets a a good slice of my small viewing time.

It focuses on Middle East issues and gives neighbouring Central Asia some good attention too. Knowledge of that part of the world is vital to improve ones grasp of la politique globale. It is after all, the area designated by the US as the main theatre of operations in its false War OF Terror, and naturally enough, it probably contains huge amounts of the worlds next easily extracted gas and oil.

AJE does something else, and it’s this which underlies its strength and value as a broadcaster. It zooms down to the individual level, frequently reporting the tales of ordinary people caught up in (or should that be ‘made to suffer in’…) the crap that’s going on around the world today. AJE’s ‘formula’ has my deep admirable.

This kind of Journalism is common to one of my Hero’s, the magnificent John Pilger. In doing so John (and AJE) give a much clearer picture of what is actually happening – the effects of usually oppressive and policies the pathetic elite serving dreadful politicians peddle across most of the globe.

The increasing rejected and questioned UK propaganda machine – the BBC, usually just has their correspondent spinning off the same old tardy pro-ZUSUK line. It largely ignores ‘ground floor’ opinion. And unlike AJE, you’ll be hard pressed to get an accented BBC correspondent, despite AJE proving there is no correlation between journalistic merit and accent {which is the kindest assumption as to why the BBC is quite barren on that front}

BBC ex-Iraq journalist[sic] Paul Wood who didn’t
report the annhilation of the people of
Fallujah becasue he didn’t see it.

However AJE isn’t without it’s faults.

One of the most shocking hit me the other day while I was watching the series of the war against Iraq 5 years on. It is narrated by Hoda Abdel-Hamid. The program the other day looked at the sectarianism that occurred when agents acting for US interests [my opinion] bombed the al-Askari Mosque in Sammara Feb 22 2006. It also touched on previous sky-rocketing US casualties from the use of shaped charged explosives which proved deadly primarily to US heavy armour.

An improvided shaped charge
pic c/o www.defense-update.com

I’m sure many of you have seen the spectacular footage on the internet of M1A1 tanks being reduced within seconds to a pile of scrap, exposing the obvious lies of invulnerability. But Hoda made a number of assertions that Iran was connected to these weapons, and I am sure she said Iran was also involved in sectarianism. I was shocked!

Hoda Abdel-Hamid. A journalist worthy of the name
who took me by surproze recently!.

You would have to say that there are many sound arguments for Iran doing such things, and they may actually do that. BUT, there is NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER that Iran was behind these serious allegations.

I haven’t got a clue why Hoda (an AJE journo whose analysis and reports I’ve always given a good reception to) would say this. I can only imagine that there is evidence, but I can’t believe I’ve never come across it. If someone would be so kind…

Other points of soreness are AJE’s non-critical reportage of climate change. On a broader issue, notice how the term “global warming” has fallen out of favour! Oooh that pesky Holocene!. Anyway, AJE in talking about the political spat that developing over Russia’s ownership over a significant area of the Artic, they showed melting ice when saying the artic ice melting will open up new shipping routes and other economic opportunities.

This is almost always done, some visualisation is presented suggesting global warming is a reality (and therefore it’s driven through anthropogenic factors) that it is happening. Whether it be green plants growing on barren land, polar bears standing and leaping off small pieces or ice sheets collapsing and so on.

Help my ice is melting!!! Stop the third word from developing
to help me!

Aaaah new green belt! Quick lets build on it.

They have also fallen from grace over the ‘global food crisis’ scam.

While these things disappoint me, In a weird kind of way, I ‘m glad they don’t do everything that agrees with my opinion. That would be dangerously seductive and would retard my ability to think and analyze.

Still, Hoda’s Iran thing is inexplicable.

Cold Irony: Arctic Sea Ice Traps Climate Tour Icebreaker

Stuck in the arctic ice that doesn’t exist. (file photo)

Last year as arctic sea ice melted to record levels, panic set in for many. But then, as the sea ice rebounded and froze again quickly in the 2007/2008 winter, making up for that record loss and reaching heights not seen for several years, many exclaimed that even though the ice areal extent had recovered, this new ice was “thin” and would likely melt again quickly….
