On November 29, 2007, UK radio jock James Whale hosted an informal debate between David Ray Griffin and George Monbiot. In a childish display of ill manners, Monbiot can’t help but blurt out and interrupt Griffin, when Griffin begins to give answers at the beginning of the debate. Later in the debate, when Griffin returns the favor, Monbiot gets all in a snit and acts wounded when Griffin turns the tactic on him. What a sod!
Monbot (sic) gets it wrong in lots of ways, including top-down demolition, so here is an example of top-down demo once again, just for the Monbot!
He’s also wrong about the length and breadth of a hypothetical conspiracy. Some blogger by the handle of GeorgeWashington says 9/11 could be argued as a 7-man Job. The irony inherent in Monbot’s position, as with all other debunkers who take the same position, is of course that they see no problem with just 19 guys pulling off 9/11. According to them, then, the official conspiracy theory is impossible! It would have taken hundreds! Thousands to pull it off!
It’s just sad.

Living with the Conspiracy 24-7 
A witness, Barry Jennings, describing what he called explosions going off in WTC-7. Monbiot says those noises could have been from other things in other places (weak perhaps, but not impossible) but then Tim Spark [22:17] (Exec producer of LC FC) says they have pictures of him wounded, having cuts and bruises and blood pouring off his face coming out of WTC 7. Monbiot then conceeds he was in an explosion.
Note all this is BEFORE the first tower collapse! Therefore explosions were happening in WTC 7, therefore it was RIGGED to be blown up.
This info is obviously new to Monbiot, who like all debunkers has not examined the evidence and considered the questions of 9-11 as the should do (and we know that some people who DO take a serious look at all these things are left with no choice but to conclude it was an inside job!).
But then Monbiot says this unbelieveable bit of UTTER GOLB PLATED, JEWEL ENCRUSTED LOBBOX:

Norman Mineta responds to an opening question by Commissioner Hamilton about the events in the PEOC and an alleged shoot down order. He describes a conversation between Cheney and a young man:
Mineta: “During the time that the airplane was coming into the Pentagon, there was a young man who would come in and say to the Vice President…the plane is 50 miles out…the plane is 30 miles out….and when it got down to the plane is 10 miles out, the young man also said to the vice president “do the orders still stand?” And the Vice President turned and whipped his neck around and said “Of course the orders still stand, have you heard anything to the contrary!??”

People look at this and use it to highlght the fact that Bush’s Brain (Dick Cheney) allowed flight 77 to hit the pentagon. But it also means something else which as far as I know, nobody has picked up yet.
It means they knew the IDENTITY of the plane, certainly at the very least, that is the very strong suggestion. How did they know the identity of the plane? How is it possible? The tranponder was turned off AND the plane had vanished from radar. Remember false radar blips were alos inserted into the radar systems that day.
Excellent Fight Flight 77 leaves Dulles International Airport at 8:20 am.
Flight 77’s transponder is turned off at 8:56 am. (some 335 miles from the Pentagon.)

An aircraft appears on radar south of Washington DC, close to the city.
A plane (note: not a radar blip!) was 50 miles out from Washington DC was being focused on.
It is possible of course, becasue Cheney and others knew EXACTLY what that plane was. It was after all, the plan.

Reasonable flight 77 essay[1], another detailed one here[2] on crew and passengers and more questions, especially about the very curious Barbara Olson, whose husband Ted was waid to have been on flight 77.

I’m not convinced that there was a controlled explosion but I thought Monbiot was typically disingenuous. He doesn’t know there wasn’t. They’re both equal theories. He also has no evidence that al-Qaeda or Muslims brought those planes down.
And if he is right and the WTC was brought down by those planes, which they might, then he has to accept that the people who flew them into it didn’t know that would happen.

I think focus on WTC 7 is the most valuable point for discussion as it removes the extra parameters of having a plane crash into it. WTC 7 was relatively undamaged after the collapse of the towers and I think it’s far more reasonable to agree that building was brought down by CD.

I have to say looking at the videos, it looks like a controlled explosion. I don’t think Monbiot can claim just looking at that that it wasn’t a controlled explosion.
It sure does. The reason being why I’d wager (if I was a betting man) is because it was a CD.
The injuries sustained by Barry Jennings and his testimony is beyond any shadow of doubt proof of bombs in WTC7 and by clear inference, means 9-11 was an inside job.
There is no doubt that WTC7 was demolished, the question is how to rig a 50 story building for demolition in just a few hours. That and the fact they found molten metal under the debris of the twin towers several days after the event. Things just dont add up. This has been researched by extremley well informed academics, architects (some of whom designed the buildings) fire fighters, police, military demolitions experts, Civilian demolition experts and so on.
Monbiot, i feel shoud start a course on interpersonal skills.

I don’t think the building could have been rigged in a few hours.
If you agree 9-11 was an inside job, which I do, then it is likely to have been planned some time in advance. Re: ‘planes into buildings’ It is now very clear, despite Wahsington lies, that it was discussed as part of multiple fields of intelligence, counter-intelligence [sic] and contingency.
There is no reason therefore to think the explosives had to be placed in a rushed manner. We know from CD of civil buildings that it takes a long time to rig the explosives. With the WTC the thermate devices or cutting charges would have taken a long time to set up – I think that’s not really disputed.
If you believe WTC1&2 were CD too, I think Prof Steve Jones’s XRD and molten iron droplets is sufficient evicence to believe they were brought down, then of course you would have to set off the sequence of explosives from the holes generated by the planes in order to propose the ‘weakened structure’ theory. This simply wasn’t an option with WTC7 as of course, no plane hit it. So you have to set off the explosives in such a way that lends creedence to the ‘fire weakened structure’.
So when people rebuff CD becasue of the different wat WTC1&2 came down as compared to WTC7, and they mention how to rig the building so quickly, there isn’t any basis for saying it.
I think it is possible that the Shanksville plane was supposed to hit WTC7.
Monbiot is an enigma. I can’t really make out what he stands for. It seems like he’s a polymorph.
